Payer Mix Report

What is the Payer Mix report?
The Payer Mix report is a search that can be generated to find a breakdown of the number of claims, total charges, total payments, and total adjustments by financial class and/or payers.

This report can also be broken down by provider and service location.

This report provides a total for the average amount of charges, payments, and adjustments for each financial class/payer, as well as the percentage of the total charges, payments, and adjustments for each financial class/payer.

From the Billing and Collections Screen:

 

The Payer Mix screen will be displayed.

 

Search Criteria
This section is to be used to select the specific information to find results for.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Group By
This section can be used to select how many levels will be used to display the search results. Only the items that are checked with a red check mark will be used in the breakdown of the search results.

 

This section can also be used to set the order in which the levels will be displayed in the search results.

The order that these three options Financial Class, Provider, and Service Location are listed in will be the order that the search results will be displayed in.

- Check this icon to select all three options (Financial Class, Provider, and Service Location).

- Check this icon to unselect all three options (Financial Class, Provider, and Service Location).

 - Check this icon to move the selected (highlighted) option to the top of the list.

 - Check this icon to move the selected (highlighted) option up one row.

 - Check this icon to move the selected (highlighted) option down one row.

 - Check this icon to move the selected (highlighted) option to the bottom of the list.

Procedure Search Criteria
This second search criteria section will not be available until the Search button is clicked and the Payer Mix report results are displayed.

This section can be used to select which information from the search results will be exported to Excel with the report. If no selections are made in this section before exporting the report to Excel, all items from the search will be included.

Search Results
Once the search criteria is selected and the Search button is selected, the Payer Mix report will be displayed.

Only the selected (check-marked) options from the Group by section will be displayed in the search results.
